Hud Statement

What is the name of your state? NC
What happens to the copies of the hud statements that are signed during a closing? I know that the buyer and seller, real estate brokers and lender get copies, but what does the Atty do with the rest? Are they simply recorded or filed with the gov?

Unless there is some local requirement (which I've never come across) the government doesn't get a copy. The feds and the state typically have their own forms with only the information that the care about on it.
