My husband and I am trying to get an equity line of credit. We are considered A paper. This has been in process for 2 months now. 2 weeks we were called in and asked to sign papers and all the #'s were wrong. We were then told that it would be fixed ASAP and we would proceed. This has still not happened. Do I have any recourse or am I totally at the mercy of the loan company? I don't want to start over with another loan company, but I want this over. They tell us the reasons were because they fired the person working on our file. Now there is just no communication from them, our loan officer or the title company. Is there anything I can do? |

**A: keep calling everyone everyday until you get answers. If you are A paper, you are free to go to any lender of your choice. This should be a slam dunk HELOC loan. |

| | | I just got done with a refi, was no where near "A" paper, and was done in 2 1/2 weeks. Try some of the on line lending sites and you'll have lenders calling you the next day. Just be sure to do your homework and investigate the companies. |

| | | If I were you, I'd just go to a different, local lender. I'd avoid internet companies. You're getting a line-of-credit. It's not as though, your losing a lower, locked-in interest rate. | |
