| | | Looking for help to stop foreclosure What is the name of your state? MA
I have a mortgage with Franklin Credit that is in foreclosure. I have not received any written notice from the mortgage co or from their lawyers. I've only been told through phone calls with Franklin Credit. I am trying to work out a repayment plan with them, but they are not returning my phone calls. I leave them a message every day. I've searched on the website for foreclosure help and there a lot of companies that say they can help you out of foreclosure. I do not want to get scammed so am leary of trying any of this. I know to stay away from any company that wants me to "temporarily" sign over the house to them. Does anyone have any experience with a company that can really help me out? |

| | | Keep an eye on the mailbox. There's a 14 day notice on the sale that is mailed to you (as well as a 21 advertisement requirement). You no doubt have a power of sale clause in the mortgage.
Linda is correct, unless you can make some arrangement with the mortgage company or manage to satisfy the loan (get caught up on payments, or sell the house and pay it off, or refi) you're not going to stop foreclosure short of filing bankruptcy (which may neither be a good idea nor much more than a delaying tactic). |

| | | If you have a HUD insured loan, such as an FHA loan, you can call the HUD Service center at 888-297-8685. They can help you communicate with your lender.
Please keep trying to work things out with your lender. I was scammed by one of those places a couple of years ago. They don't do anything for you that you can't do yourself. |

The lender may have sent the case to an attorney and you may have to communictae with the attorney's office directly. | |
