misrepresentation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin
We are in the middle of refinancing our home, appraisal is done, rate is locked in, now I'm laid off, but wife is still working. Is it misrepresentation on our part to go forward with the refinance? Do I need to disclose this information? Will it be found out? Is this a problem?
