Mortgage Broker Falsfied Documents

What is the name of your state? NJ

Let me start off by saying the houses purchased were all part of a lease buy back where the person currently living in the house was trying to save there house.. They were to sell the house to me live in it pay me the mortgage and then buy it back for the cost of the mortgage.. Now these people are defaulting and not just me but others(all from the same company who got us into these deals) are having mortgages that we can not afford. Most of the way these deals worked was we were called to say you have closing next week and then we signed.. No choice of title company mortgage company etc...

Then I started digging and this is what I found.

I recently discoverd that mortgage broker that was used not only for my house but for many others has falsfied the income portion of the application.. The handwritten application is very different then the one typed by the broker.. There are no initals on the income page only signed on page one with the correct info and the last page which was also correct. How should we proceed? Who is responsible for this? Does anybody think I can be made whole in all of this... I stand to lose about 60k..

thanks

Christine
