My son is in arrears by two months on his mortage payment. The mortgage company is stating they will not accept just one months payment. They want the total of both at the same time. He has told them he wants to send one month now and the other in two weeks. They are stating they will not accept payment and will return his check if not for both payments at the same time. Can they refuse to accept his payments seperately?

Q: Can they refuse to accept his payments seperately?

A: Yes; he is in default and the lender does not have to negotiate with him.
