My sister put a mortage on her house, then refinanced it, they are charging her
$2,000.00 per month for a 240,000.00 loan that is for more than 20 years, now
she can't afford the house payments, what can she do to keep her house and
not pay so much per month?

Get a roommate. Or two.

Refinance.

Reduce her other debts.

Try to sell, and bring cash to closing, if need be, to get out.

My sister has a mortgage for about that about, and that's what her payments are. For about a 600 sq ft condo.
