mortgage sold to another lender, what are my options?new york My mortgage was recently sold by my lender to a new lender. Not only does the new lender require an escrow cushion (whereas my old lender didn't), but I have read a number of poor business practice articles by my new lender. Can I protest the sale? Can I legally require my new mortgage lender to maintain the same servicing standards? I feel like I've been bullied and that my rights have been stripped away. |

A: No and no, unless your loan document (the deed of trust or mortgage) says otherwise.

**A: I disagree. Of course the writer can protest. How about a sandwich board with glow lights and walking up and down Madison Ave. and through Central Park. |

How stupid of me not to think of that. I humbly beg your pardon.
