| | Multiple Lien holders What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
9 yrs ago I was involved in a car accident which was a uninsured motorists fault. Having uninsured motorist coverage after the repairs were made to my vehicle my insurance company went after the registered owner of the uninsured vehicle and at that time we must have signed something saying that they could recoup our deductible ($250.00) also. I was served papers saturday that the mortgage company of the "uninsured motorist" was foreclosing on his house and my insurance company, myself, hoa and a few other listed names are listed as defendants because we have liens against the house. I didn't even know we did until now. They've given me 20 days to respond in writing and I'm not sure what my liability is on this? Please let me know which direction I should take. |
