Not on title but named on foreclosure as Community property

What is the name of your state? Michigan

Long story short, I'm in a domestic violence shelter for the last 3 months and my hubby abandoned our house. When we bought it, my husband and mother's names were on the mortgage and the mortgage was on my husband and mother's credit report. I get a letter, notice of mortgage foreclosure sale, today that states "default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by "Mom's name", a single woman, "hubby's name", a married man, and "MY NAME", a married woman, as community property, original mortgagor(s), to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, INC., as nominee for lender and lender's successors and/or assigns, Mortgagee, dated blah... blah.... You get the idea.

I have never been on the mortgage or any of the paperwork until today. I haven't checked my credit report (can't waste the little money I have being in a shelter and all) and wondered if they are going to put it on my credit report. The hubby and I haven't been in the same room since Sept and he wanted the foreclosure.

As if my life can not get any worst, do I have to start worrying that I'll have even more messed up credit?

/places head in hands and sobs uncontrollably

**A: the mortgage /foreclosure should not appear on your credit report as you are not a mortgagor.

You can also obtain free copies of your credit report from all 3 agencies once a year.
