What are myOptions

What is the name of your state?Texas

I recieved temporary forebearance agreement from my mortgage comapny to stop foreclosure with terms of a downpayment, then the remainder owed split into three payments due on a specific date, along with regular mortgage payment for that month. The first two months were no problem, but due to a unforseen problem with back to back hurricanes, I am unable to make the full amount on the final payment. I have the regular payment and half the past due amount. The mo.co.'s rep said while they appreciated the situation, they would not extend or amend the agreement andmight review the account again for forclosure. I will have the rest of the money by the 30 th of Nov. but the rep could not tell me if the balance would be accepted then, or answer my questions about time frames, or elaborate as to why the previous payments were classified as "unapplied". Will I still have the option to "cure" the default? Will the money I've already paid be returned to me, or applied to loan? Since the account was with a firm and a date had been set for foreclosure before forebearance, will they follow the same time frame, or acelerate it?

Call and talk to the manager of the collection department. This is important stuff. Don't leave your fate in the hands of a first line collector because he wants to make his bonus this month. Sometimes you need to advocate for yourself and take the issue up to the top.
