pastdue tax question

What is the name of your state? TN

I am quitclaiming some rental property back to the guy I bought it from. Past due taxes exist on this property for 2003/2004. Do those taxes stay with me as a liability do they go with the property back to the seller?

**A: in most cases, the taxes run with the property.
