What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD

I am currently an 80% disabled veteran with a claim in right now to have it increased to 100%. With that process I will have to retire from my gov position due to some of the disabilities I have. I currently own a house and with this going on I will not be able to maintain the house payment of 3k a month. Does the gov have any programs that will purchase my house from me or does the lender accept the house back... anything along those lines... Basically are there any programs out there that would assist me?
