propert deed has exwife on it....need to remove

What is the name of your state? Georgia

(I had asked this earlier in someone elses thread....sorry for hijacking)

I have a very similar problem that I have seen in other threads and I have not seen any replies that I feel thorouhly answer this.

It has been over 10 years (1991) since I was divorced and in the divorce decree I was awarded the property in full. At the time, I didn't know that I should have had a Quit Claim deed prepared and had her sign.

For the last 5 years I have been trying to find her to sign one but I have had no luck locating her.

Question: Can a lawyer use just the divorce decree to help me get her name off the property deed , without having her sign anything (the divorce decree was signed by her though)?

If so, please elaborate.

Thanks

Hire a PI to 'skip-trace' her. Usually pretty simple, I do it all the time. Do you have her SSN??

Possibly. But why??

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Not sure of why you asked " Why?" in the last reply.

The deal is I need her name taken off the deed. I have not been able to locaate her for ten years+ (and really don't want to deal with her now) . The divorce decree states thats I get the land in full and I want to be able to have her name taken off the deed!

I , by myself can't get a judge to remove her name.....can it be done with a lawyers help? or is there any other ways to have it removed?

Help!

Thanks again
