Property Deed Help???

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Arkansas

In the divorce decree I was given a tract of land. It shows it in the papers. I am trying to sell this land but the ex wife will not sign the title and her name is on it as well as mine. Even though the land was awarded to me in the papers I am told I cannot sell the land without her signature on the title also.

Is there another way to sell this land or remove her name from the title without going back to court? Or can I sell the land without her signing the title because it was awarded to me in the decree?

What is the name of your state? Georgia

I have a very similar problem and I have not seen any replies that answer this.

It has been 10 years since I was divorced and in the divorce decree I was awarded the property in full. At the time, I didn't know that I should have had a Quit Claim deed prepared and had her sign.

For the last5 years I have been trying to find her to sign one but I have had no luck locating her.

Can't a lawyer use the divorce decree to help me get her name off the property deed?

**A; you need to go to court to get a judgement ordering her to sign the deed.
