question

What is the name of your state?Florida
My friend is getting a divorce and her husband has recently purchased a property and he tells her she has to go to closing?

She will have to sign a quit claim deed to relinquish any interest in the property.

Yes, and if she doesn't want to run into her husband there, she could ask to take care of her releases before closing.
