We were almost 60 days past due but were ready to make at least one payment. No acceleration letter had been issued yet. So we applied. The representative suggested we apply for Harp, then we could make 3 single payments as long as they were made by the 1st of the month. It essentially wiped out one of the payments we owed. Suppose we get denied for the HARP. Do we just go back to making regular payments or do we owe that one that was dropped.
