question on vandalizing my own house per say

What is the name of your state? Missouri

Hello, I have tried to re-fi my home through 4 mortgage companies, as they can not help, I needed 95% loan to value, but the house did not appraise out. Although 2 years ago it appraised for $215,00,000 then again in December as Bank of America did a second mortgage for us. They also said when the adjustable rate starts, August 07, they would do both mortgages, they lied, they will not. I have called and called the company we make the house payments too, not only have they blown me off, cut me off, and gave me the run-around, they have caused me to more than likely go into forclosure. I am not waiting for my house to go into foreclosure and my credit scores to crash before I get out of here and they they help, forget it, there disgusting way of helping with a payback plan. I know what I can afford and have been struggling for 2 years to make the house payment we have been making, I also have exhausted all my options from quick sale, to you name the ( HOW CAN I SAVE MY HOUSE ) options. SO...here is my question. I am so angry with these people for doing this to me, they even said they would help us, I called back and nothing was even in the system about us. Its a long story. Now, if I decide to re-paint the inside of my house, hey maybe the outside, to leave them a lil gift saying...thank you...can they do anything to me??? I have worked very hard on this house to make it look like it does, blood sweat and tears, now all tears because I wil be losing it. Its still my house, so if I destroy the inside...and default ( foreclose ) what happens to me??

I wont do this., but I have been upset enough to do something. I am not handing this house over to them so they can put someone in it right away. They really really have given me the run-around.

Thanks
Sherri

That would be a really stupid thing to do.

That is all.

If you can't afford the payments, have you considered having a roommate or two (screen them first) to help defry your payments, rather than doing criminal damage in opposirion to what you agreed in your mortgage (which includes standard language agreeing to maintain the property and to not do waste to it).

Clearly you do not if you are in this kind of trouble with your mortgage.

How far behind are you? Ask them to allow you to make a CURRENT payment and then add a certain amount to that each month to catch up the arrearages over a typical 6 month to 12 period of time.

Sitting around blaming them for your financial woes is getting you no where. Destroying the property, which you have every intention of doing, will end you up behind bars!

The adjustable rate is now active one month, from our regular payment of $1,545, to $1,800, << this we cannot do, actually we can only afford $1,000 a month, we have been struggling with the difference since they stuck it in us and broke it off two years ago. So this is why we will default, we cannot make the payments we are at.

Thanks for answering

No, no roomates of any kind, it is me and my husband only, we own a duplex two family and reside on one side, thankfully the tennant does not have a lease. Well, I think that is a plus, wont be our concern.

Thanks

But you're the one that accepted a house payment that you couldn't afford. You are more than welcome to vandalize your property. When it forecloses, and the bank can't sell it, and has to lower the price, only YOU are responsible for the deficiency balance. Only you.
