Quit Claim Deed procedure

State: Texas
I filed a Quit claim deed (my ex-husband is signing the house to me) The clerk told me that the quit claim form would be sent back to me....However, I don't know what to do next? I would like to take my ex-husband's name off the lease. What do I need to do now? How long does it take?

Thank you,

What did the judgment in your lawsuit say about the lease?

Thanks for replying. I am not quite certain if this response is what you would need, but on the divorce decree it is stated that we were going to sell the house to pay off any debt; however, there aren't any joint debts anymore.

But you are still supposed to sell the house?

Has that been done?

**A: I am confused as to the deed and the lease issue.
