real estate attachment

What is the name of your state?Vermont

There is an attachment recorded at the Town Clerk's Office which I have not read yet. I own several pieces of property. I am wondering if an attachment is generally for a specific piece of property or if it is a blanket attachment that would cover all of my real estate. I have a sale pending and may need to pay off the attachment if it is the blanket type.

Question #2

Several months ago I sold a piece of property. A title search was done. The title examiner missed the mortgage deed that was filed with the town. I did not pay off the mortgage with the proceeds. The bank has just realized that the property has changed hands and wants to get paid. While I intend to pay it I don't have any lump sum I can give and would like to keep making monthly payments. Does the lawyer who did the title search have insurance that would clear the title for the buyer?
