| If you have no interest in the lots any more, then it will not hurt you to sign the QUIT claim deeds. A quit claim deed will relinquish your rights (if any) to the property and give them to the other party. Of course, if this is gong to be a hassle or if you need things notarized, then hold out for a small payment to cover your time and expenses.
Frankly, I am surprised that they should even bother with you. your sale of the property and the two subsequent sales should have all been registered wit the county. The mythical real estate company should not have anythign to do with the properties any more once the deeds are recorded. But that is their problem.
One more thing - before you sign anything, contact the country where the properties are located and verify that you are still not listed as the owner. If you are, then they may think you owe taxes on the place. Get any of those issues straightened out before quit claiming anything. |
