What is the name of your state? VA
Conditions of divorce agreement are that wife will take ownership of the home and take over mortgage payments. Can refinancing the mortgage by wife be avoided so that husband is removed from responsibilty, if so by what methodology? Can the home be transferred to wife as a gift? |

A: I think you mean "method"; but anyway, the only way to make sure the husband is not liable for any loan on the real estate is for hubby to convey to wife and then for wife to refinance. | |
