I am the mortgagee (lender) for two mortgages. When I die, I want these mortgages to be considered paid in full. Unfortunately, I didn't think to include this when the mortgage documents were drawn up. Is it enough to simply state this in my will, or do I need to amend the mortgage?

You can give the note to the mortgagor in your will and they can "forgive" themselves.
