I bought a building on a 3 year land contract, the seller sold it to a broker, Ram Funding, who then sold it to First National Acceptance. When the ballon payment was due the guy from Ram Funding consistantly called me and sent a letter stating that i had to pay him to fullfill my obligation to them and so the original seller could get his payoff. I paid Ram funding off in full with a check. Now 2 years letter First National is taking me to court because they never received thier money from Ram. SO what can i do? Am i really liable, can they take my building and I will be out the money?
