Securing a Loan and Maternity LeaveEncinitas, California My husband and I have worked tirelessly to obtain funding for a home loan. We did our due dligence and qualified for our first home through FHA. One day prior to closing (full funding), the lender did the final employment verification and my employer stated I was not "active" at this time. This shouldn't have been a surprise since I disclosed I would be out due to pregnancy disability. I receive roughly 70% of my gross income through the states Family Medical Leave Act and Paid Family Leave and in addition, my employer wrote a letter stating their intent to continue the employment relationship on December 1st when my leave ends. Is this denial considered discriminiatory? |

| You are currently earning approx. 30% less than you were before. Furthermore, between now and December, a lot can happen to cause you NOT to have an increased income. This is not discriminatory...it is good business.
