You can not FORCE a short sale, either the financial institute accepts one or they will not.

If this question concerns your previous posts then remember this house is tied up in a BK right now and you have to wait out the processes or work with the mortgage holder to "get your ducks in a row".

This is in regard to my last post. I am sorry I am very new to this and am really in the process of learning everything I can. I guess my question is this correct. He filed for BK the house is still listed. I still have the ability to put an offer in. They can accept or not...? Now some sites have said it is in pre-foreclosure. Some do not have it listed at all. And can a house still be sold if the owner filed for BK. The bank now has the right to say yes or no correct? I can wait or I can not but want to know if I am doing this correct. I am getting the financing done as we speak so I know what I can aford on a house. I am doing the title search myself at this time but will have a title company do it as well so it can then roll into the mortgage. If it goes to auction I need the 10% that day and then paid in 10 days or I lose my down payment.
