| short sale after sheriff sale? What is the name of your state? MIchigan. I was working with Loss Mitigation company that answered phone when I contacted my lender. I was told that I was prequalifed for loss mitigation loan and that sheriff sale would not proceed. I was contacted by loss mitigation company one week after sale date and told that lender would not approve loan modification because some "drive by appraisal" said value of proerty 60,000.00 less than it was 2 years ago. I said that is mistake can you review. I was told, "no" because sheriff sale had occurred. Current lender bought note at sale. I have been considering a "short sale". Is that available now or is it too late? |
