| | | Short sale issue What is the name of your state? Florida
My lender wants me to supply them with a copy of my last paystub in order for them to proceed with a short sale. If I provide them with a copy, can they somehow use that paystub against me? Like for instance, somehow trying to garnish my wages. Also, my wages have gone down since I purchased the home.
Thanks,

| | | I can't think of any reason that the paystub would be useful to them other than checking the validity of your story as to why you need to do the short sale. If they foreclose on you and proceed with a deficiency judgment, they won't need that stub to try to get a garnishment if such is legal in your jurisidiction. |

| | | Short sale From the way I understand it with a short sale you are trying to prove that you cannot make the payments. Basically exactly opposite of what you do when you try and get the loan. They are asking for a copy of it to help prove the fact that you cannot afford to make your payments. It should actually help that you have taken a pay cut since you originally got the loan. |

| | | when doing a short sale the banks want to know every penny coming in and going out. How much you spend on cellphone to doing the dry cleaning... Just be honest and it should work out. | |
