What is the name of your state?OH
We bought land down the road from a friend of the family for acrage value. A yaer after we built our house we signed a second mortgage that states if we sell the house or within 25 years we pay them $15,000. The couple divorced and he is in prison. The divorce dercee states our loan to them be split 50/50. We are trying to refinance our house and his attorney states the husband is unwilling to sign the papers allowing him to be paid. Because of this we do not have a clear title to our house and cannot refinance or sell it. We lost income this year of nearly $30,000 and really need to either refinance or sell the home- is there anything legally to be done to get him to sign the papers or go around him? | |
