temporary restraining order on foreclosure?

What is the name of your state? Texas

We owe our HOA $2,000.00, $550.00 in dues for last year and $1,500.00 in attorneys fees. I spoke with an attorney who said for $1,000.00 they can file a temporary restraining order against the foreclosure to buy me time to come up w/ the $2,000.00. Of course I would rather do it myself, I mean $1,000.00 is half of what I owe anyways. I called the Judges office where the foreclosure was filed and the clerk was unfamiliar with a restraining order in these cases.

Any help?
