timeshare default

What is the name of your state? Florida. We live in Canada, bought a 1/2 timeshare in Key West in feb 05. Paid 1400 down 353 mtc fee and 6 payments and now can't afford it. To sell it is tough as they are not a lucrative venture. They initially told me (after 2 defaults)I could walk away and forgo any investment and I am ok with that. Now they have sent to a collection agency. Does anyone know if this could follow me up here in Canada?
