| | | Title Company Error What is the name of your state? California
My daughter closed on a condominium purchase about a month ago. Yesterday, she recieved a call from the title company informing her that they had forgotten to include about $400 in the total closing cost. This represented a surplus to the HOA. They also informed her that the Title company went ahead and paid the amount to the HOA on her behalf but that she would need to reimburse the title company for this amount. Is she under a legal obligation to reimburse the title company Shouldn't the Title company eat this cost since it was their error? |

| | | Plus if she reads all those docs she signed she probably will find a statement which addresses the need for small adj. for errors or omissions. | |
