voluntary foreclosure

What is the name of your state?Pa.
Ihave owned a property for ten years , the area in which it is in has become very drug infested with many houses either up for sale or that have already been foreclosed on and now the bank owns them and many have been on market for several years . my problem is this , i moved out of the home 2 months ago after having my life threatened several times and the police doing nothing about the drug trade. i purchased a piece of property with a trailer on itabout 20 min. away .good and save neighborhood. i have excellent credit and was able to get a signature loan for where i am living now . i have talked with a friend who is a realtor and she said it would be a waste to go that route . i cannot continue to make a mortgage and a personal loan amt . the house is in need of some repairs now , the roof is leaking , but i can't see putting good money after bad . Any help you could offer i would greatly appreciate.
thanks,
sharon

You could talk to the lender about about a "deed in lieu" of foreclosure. Still goes on your credit tho. Not sure what Pa law is or if they have that option.

You could price the home for quick sale, too.
