| |  What can I do if she won't sign the QUIT CLAIM?
ARIZONA
I live with my girlfriend (never married) we have a home financed and titled in both of our names. I am able to refinance the home in my name only she cannot afford to. She has walked out and refuses to sign a Quit Claim, I am still paying the mortgage because I don't want my credit damaged. How can I get her off of the mortgage/title without the Quit Claim? |

If you want her off the title, then must file what is called a partition suit (it may be called something different in your state). What that does is force the sale of the property and then you and the other owners split up what is left over after the mortgage is paid off. | |
