What does this mean??? URGENT!!!NJ I just received an email from the loan processor asking me: "Ok, if we close before the divorce is final then you will need to sign the TIL, ROR & Mortgage. If we close after the divorce then we can finalize the quit claim deed removing your name & that will be all you need to sign……how do you prefer?" It's not making sense to me...signing the mortgage? My husband and I are getting divorced, and he's refinancing so the loan is only under his name. I need to make sure that the loan is removed from my credit report (and responsibility). Why would I need to sign the truth in lending agreement, the ROR (which I still don't know what it means...googled it too), and the Mortgage? So confused! |

| It means they won't refinance in his name alone if you are still married to him. Tell them you will QC at the time of closing only. How close is your divorce to becoming final? ROR = Right of Recission. |

The divorce process (it's pro se; I'm handling all the paperwork for both of us) is nearing completion. I've sent his answer, no counterclaim, and just need to receive the filed copy from court. From there, I will need to call the court and arrange for a date for finalizing things. The divorce process has been easier than the refinance! |

| They are covering their butts. They won't refi without your "permission" if you're still married. There's nothing dishonest about it.
