I have a cousin that bought a mobile home in 1998. She let the mobile home go back in 2000. The lender sold the mobile home for less than the amount owed in 2000. The last time she was contacted prior to a couple of weeks ago was in 2003 and that was by phone. There has not been a suit filed or judgment obtained. Since letting the mobile home go back she has remarried and her husband purchased their new home because of her bad credit. She is however on the deed of trust as pro forma.
My question is....hasn't the statue of limitation ran out on filing a suit? I don't know what there limitations are.
