What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I live in a rental building in Manhattan. I am going to be filming a documentary/reality series inside my apartment. It is low budget & independent. Basically a single camera. I have sound proofed my apartment to where there there is no noise going outside the apartment. Only one neighbor on my floor. Its the top floor penthouse apartment.

I have a lot of people that are going to be coming to my apartment from 7pm to 2am. Never 20 at a time coming to the building at the same time, but 3, then 2, . At the most 20 people will be at the apartment at the same time.

My question is this, if I am not disturbing my neighbors with hallway noise or any noise from apartment, can the building stop me from doing my work,...from having people over 5-6 nights a week.? Can i legally film in my apartment if it is for entertainment/creative purposes?...do I need a permit of any sort?...it is not for any network or company, it is my own project.

I would like to be clear about my rights before I tell the super of my project. I will really appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you.
