We purchased some property 8 years ago. When we moved in the sellers and the neighbors both told us that the fence to the North side of us was not on the correct property line. It was encroaching on our property approximately 10 feet. At that time we decided not to move the fence and have had an amicable relationship with this neighbor ever since. In June, he sold his property and informed the buyer that his property only went to the legal pins at the corners. However, now the buyer feels like he has the right not to move the fence and will not allow us to move it. Can we legally move the fence or do we have a leg to stand on?
