What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? texas
My daughter got a ticket and has shown up 3 times for court now. They finally decided that she needed to pay over $400.00 for traffic violations. She was 17 at the time of the citations and did NOT have a drivers license. We have called the courts on 4 different occasions now trying to find out info on payment of these tickets and not 1 time have they been able to find her in the system. After searching for about 15 mins they would find it under a whole other spelling of the last name(and i mean WHOLE other spelling Nothing like our real last name!!) Does she have to pay these tickets? and what if she doesnt? Would they ever be able to know by running her name or new drivers license #?
