I live in Canadice, New York. There are three trees with some decay which straddle the property line with my neighbor. (The property line runs directly through the base of the tree trunk) My neighbor has asked me to have them removed as she says they were planted by a previous owner of my home roughly 50 years ago and are now dangerous. They may be dangerous. I want to do what is fair and right. Should we split the cost to remove them or should I pay?
