My mother owns some land that is completely landlocked in NC. She has owned it for many years and is now interested in using part of the land and selling the remaining parts. If we cannot purchase a strip of land to use as a right of way from one of the four adjoining property owners, what are our chances getting an "easement by necessity" in NC?
