What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania.
We have people from a neighboring property (to our 63 rural acres) that have driven in on one of our farm roads to their vacation cabin for years. We have owned our property since 1998. The previous owner, of our property, allowed them to do this instead of them having to put in a driveway from the road (since it is only used occasionally). Their property is NOT a land locked parcel. However, the owner is now sending people out to give her bids for lumbering some of her trees. We are concerned that the heavy equipment will destroy our farm road. We found a tree marked for cutting that is actually on our property. The survery stakes are clearly visable. Our question is whether we can block off the farm road, effectively forcing the owners of the cabin to put in a new driveway from the road to their cabin? Or does the fact that, as a courtesy, they have been allowed to enter through our property interfere? There is nothing in our deed that indicates a "right of way".What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
