I just found out that my new neighbor plans to open a halfway house for chemical dependent teenage boys and she has told me there is nothing I can do about it. HELP!! I do not want my little children living next door to this. My zoning office says she is calling it convalescent housing when in fact it is a halfway house. According to our zoning ordanince convalesent housing is allowed. What can I do?? Anything? There has to be some rules and requirements as to where a halfway house can be located. Please help...I really am desparate to find a way to stop this from coming into my neighborhood.
