What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi A neighboring property owner refuses to grant an easement or right of way to property I inherited from my father. How do I obtain a right of way to access the property?

How did your father access this property?

Some options include (in order of increasing cost to you)
- Easement possibly already exists (check how father accessed it)
- Buy an access easement from neighbor
- Sue for easement by perscription if father has been using it in the past
- Buy neighbor's property
