What is the name of your state? Texas

Our neighbor built his fence as much as 1.5 feet into our property. The trespass was over 400 feet long. ( I know this because we had it surveryed). After we had it surveyed we sent the neighbor a letter stating that his fence was in the wrong place and to move it or we would move it for him.
This neighbor then went on our property the very next day and cut down a huge tree of ours. It may partially belong to him, but mostly ours.
My question is, can we sue him for damages (replacement) to the tree if the tree partially belongs to us? I would estimate that the tree is 80% ours, from the location of the trunk.
We have since removed the trespassing fence.
Thanks-
