| neighbor does not want to pay his share for a new fence

I recently had a new fence built, seperating my property from my neighbors. All that remained of the existing fence was two posts. I called the city and asked how to determine my property line and they gave me the measurements and also said to go by the existing fence. I sent my neighbor a certified letter on 11/20, letting him know that I was building the fence. I also communicated with him over the phone that same day and told him about the letter and he confirmed that he would be coming out on 11/23. He never showed up and I preceded with building the fence on 11/25. His certified letter was received on 11/27. Now he does not want to pay for half of the fence. The fence built is exactly the same as his other fences on his property. Do I have a shot of getting my money if I take him to small claims court? I have all of my receipts. |
