One of our neighbors recently married and moved away. However, she is currently renting her former residence. Therein lies the problem. Our entire neighborhood has been terrorized and harrassed by those that live and visit her rental property, (for years). The persons doing the damage are mainly unsupervised juveniles. The parent is either out of the house most of the time or doesn't care. Neighbors tires have been slashed -- a window has been broken out of another's van -- trash and junk cars abound, which make their way onto other's properties. The police have been called several times by various neighbors with no success. The police say that nothing can be done -- that they are just juveniles. The dog pound has been called more times than can be counted -- because of their large dog scaring the children and adults. We have tried many times to contact the owner of the home. She does not return calls or does not answer the telephone. She lives a couple of counties away, and doesn't seem interested in her prior residence at all. We would appreciate your advice as to the options that we may have available in dealing with this problem. So far, we have only had property damaged. We fear for our lives at this point. Something has to be done to prevent anything far worse from happening. Thank you very much.
