Noisy Neighbor

Michigan
My mothers house has been up for sale for the last year and we have recently changed relators. Over the weekend a potential buyer showed great intrest in the house but we were notifiyed by our relator that our across the street neighbor came over and told the potential buyers that there are huge flooding issues with the house. This is a complete lie! When our mother passed away the neighbor said she was interested in purchasing the home and asked what our sale price was, when told she laughed and said "you will never sell the home". I belive that she is waiting for the "rock bottom price" and will do whatever it takes to get us to sell to her. What recourse do I have to stop her from telling potiental buyers lies?

**A: what problems does the property have? And you could hire an attorney to send the neighbor a nice cease and desist letter.
