What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WA.
About a year ago my neighbor did a survey of our common property line. Turns out one corner I have encroached on his property - 4sq ft. In the middle he has encroached on me - 20sq ft. When I say, "encroach" I mean vegetation/fence/concrete pad - all of which can be moved for about $1000.
I don't have a problem with this - nor does he.
What kind of document can we sign that would protect or property rights and, more importantly, rights of any future prospective buyers of our properties? I would assume it would be a document that acknowledges that the vegetation line is out of whack and amount of time to remedy it.
thank you,
GML
