| | | Property Damage Topped Trees North Carolina.
I have a neighbor who has topped about 16 of my trees so as to improve the mountain view from his summer home. About 10 feet was topped off each tree and all debris left on the ground. I did not witness this damage. I had the Sheriff come out and verify this trespass/damage and prepare a report naming my neighbor as the responsible party and assessing $1600 damages. I had an attorney send him a certified letter but he will not respond. Can I sue him in Small Claims court? Do I have enough proof? |

| | | You may want to obtain a certified arborist's report on the value of the damage done to the trees. |

| | | What is the total number of trees that your neighbor didn't top off? Or, what percentage of your trees did he cut?
